Music (Sound Production/ Engineering)

Arabella (Advanced Studio Techniques)

(Mar 2017- Apr 2017)

This is a song I worked on for the Advanced Studio Techniques unit in my 2nd year at college. This version of the Artic Monkeys’ song was intended to be heavier than the original and to be closer towards the hard rock genre. I was part of a group who set up the recording equipment, recorded the artist and mixed and mastered the piece. The audio was prepared in Pro Tools.

Love and Mercy (Sound Production Practice 2)

(Mar 2017- Apr 2017)

This is a song I worked on for the Sound Production Practice 2 unit in my 2nd year at college. We recorded this piece leaning less heavily on close miking techniques, instead using spatial miking techniques more heavily, to give a more natural sounding final product. I was part of a group who set up the recording equipment, recorded the artist and mixed and mastered the piece. The audio was prepared in Pro Tools.

Bang, Bang (Self Study)

(Feb 2017)

This is a song I worked on during the timetabled self-study recording time in my 2nd year at college. I was part of a group who set up the recording equipment, recorded the artist and mixed and mastered the piece. The audio was prepared in Pro Tools.

Gangsta’s Paradise (Sound Production Practice 1)

(Mar 2016- Apr 2016)

This is a song I worked on for the Sound Production Practice 1 unit in my 1st year at college. The aim of the project was to sculpt a version of this classic song, that would be more akin to the rock genre. I was part of a group who set up the recording equipment, recorded the artist and mixed and mastered the piece. The audio was prepared in Pro Tools.
